The Troop 399 summer camp registration window is about to close.
Registration for each of the two Troop 399 summer camps, El Rancho Cima and Buffalo Trails requires registration through Troop 399. This is a two part process, first you register at www.troop399.org and then you fill out the registration questionaire and merit badge selection sheet and the Troop 399 Ramrod will register you for the merit badge classes of your choice.
El Rancho Cima summer camp for Troop 399 is June 21 to 27, 2009. The Camp will begin summer camp registration this week after April 1st. The Troop currently has 25 places reserved and 23 Scouts registered. Please register immediately if you want one of the two remaining spaces. Buffalo Trails summer camp for Troop 399 is July 12 to 18, 2009. Registration fees are due to Buffalo Trails on April 1st and the first day of registration for merit badges is April 15th. The Troop currently has 30 places reserved and 11 Scouts registered. We also have 5 adult places reserved and 1 adult registered. Tomorrow, April 1st, the Troop will drop any unfilled spaces. If you intend to attend Buffalo Trails Scout Ranch Summer Camp you must act now. Registration is on a first come first serve basis, so in order to secure your Scout's merit badge selections please register now. You can't go to them all if you miss the first one!!! This is the First Annual Armadillo District Camporee and it promises to be like no other camporee. The event is March 6-8 at Wolff Mountain Scout Ranch outside of LLano, Texas. I have included an information packet for the Troop and the Armadillo District announcement. Jimmy Donovan Eagle Project 1.24.09
Who: Cornelius James “Jimmy” Rodriguez-Donovan II
What: Eagle Project
Where: Barton Creek Hike & Bike Trail,
3755 S. Capitol of Texas Hwy
When: Saturday, January 24th, 9:00 A.M.
How: I am building a bridge over a gully that passes through the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Hike & Bike Trail over Barton Creek. The previous bridge was washed out and the trail is heavily used by runners and bicyclists. We will start at 9:00 A.M. and work about 5-6 hours, ending around 3:00 P.M. All required tools and protective gear will be provided, but it is recommended that scouts bring their own gloves. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. For info, call 512-779-0391 or 512-317-2539.

What you will be doing: Removing non-native plants
What to bring: Work gloves and any tools you have
(saws, shovels, clippers, rakes, picks, axes, etc.)
